"Ok, we can not all sleep at the same time, so me and gaara are going to set trapes, then, once we are dont with that we will take shifts through the night, ill go first then kusa then gaara, that sound far to everyone"Roku said as he looked around at the two ninja that were on the mission with him."also kusa, i know you had a hard life, but this is the Akatsuki, they are the best of the best, we have to keep you safe"Roku said."Know no mroe argueing with me"Roku said

"Fine." Kusa said. She looked at the moon. It was almost full. Her bottled water was becoming restless. A sure sign of danger coming their way. "I'll start the fire, and then be right back." She told them. Kusa rubbed the jagged rocks together, and in a few minutes, started a fire. "I'll be back in 15 minutes." She told them. Tala followed Kusa up a huge tree to the top, where you can see the moon more clearly. She would do this every night on her own roof, but when a roof was no where, a tree would be the substitute. She felt the wind as she undid her hair from her braid. Kusa felt the presence of her parents and the rest of her family before them. Kusa took a kunai from her pouch, and cut the ends of her hair, then in a small stream, Kusa let them follow in the wind.

Gaara looked at Roku why was he taking the last shift? He didn't trust the girl. He could take all of the shifts anyways. Its not like he could sleep. Gaara was an insomnicac so he rarely slept anyways. It didn't help to have the demon inside of him that made sure he didn't sleep as well. "Roku your going to need your rest I'll take the shifts. I don't sleep anyways"

"Well then it is settled Gaara you will take the shifts, if there is anything bumping in the night wake me"Roku said as he went into the tent for he needed rest using his Karasugan all day."man this mission is going to be the end of me i swear"Roku said in a light voice

After the 15 minutes were up, Kusa jumped down from the tree. She looked at Gaara. Could he also have a demon? "Well, it's getting late. I'll look out for anyone suspicious in a couple of hours." She said, and went into her own tent that she put up a while ago to go to sleep. Tala followed closely behind, and curled up next to Kusa when they both were lying down, going to sleep.

Gaara watched them both go to sleep as he stood out on a branch. Looking around his traps were still set up so they should be safe plus Gaara would be able to protect what came their way.

*Roku sat up for hours pondering on why they really needed ichitaka, he knew that he had sanbi within his cousin, but why, "did they know of how good the Karasugan really was",. thought to himself. "Or did they just want sanbi out of ichitaka, did they want ichitaka to join the akatsuki, no ichitaka wouldnt do that, or would he"Roku said to himself in a light voice."i need some water"Roku said as he stude up andw alked out of the tent."hey gaara ima go and get some water from the river thats near here, keep a close eye on the camp site and kussa-cahn, k"Roku said as he walked through the forest watching for traps that they set earlyer in the day

*As Roku got to the waterfall area, he walked up to it then washed his face in the river, tehn cupped his hands and drank water from the river, then a noice came from the bushes*"Who is there"Roku said as he polled a kunie*Roku could not see for his chakra was low and he still could not use his Karasugan

Kusa couldn't sleep at all. She missed Kane sleeping by her side. Kusa got out of her tent, and saw Gaara. "I'm going to go to the river." She said. Kusa couldn't find a direct path there, so she went through some bushes. She guessed that she startled Roku-Kun, because Kusa saw Roku-Kun with a kunai in hand. "Roku-Kun! It's me! Kusa!" She said as she got out.

Gaara nodded as Roku left to go to the river and then Kusa soon after. Were the two meeting or something? Was there something they were hiding from him. Also what was the point of guarding something where no one was. Gaara summoned some of the sand from his gourd and created a clone of himself from sand that walked to the village but stayed silent just watching and listening to roku and kusa and stayed out of site of both.

"Oh, kusa its just you, what are you doing here"Roku said as he turned his body back towards the river but still keeping his goard up."Shouldnt you be sleeping or resting so you will be able to use your healing chakra to help ichitaka"Roku said as he but his one hand in the water and put some over his face, then removing his headband and put his hole head under for a moment so he could cool his head

"I couldn't sleep." She told him. "So I went here, because the sound of flowing water helps me relax." There was also one other reason that didn't involve the last. The water was unusually restless, and noisy. There was something very evil to come.

"KUsa go back to camp you need your rest, me and gaara got this shift"Roku said as he did a hand mosion showing her to leave the area."I want to be alone for a while so please leave, kusa-chan"Roku said with a cold voice

"Fine." Kusa told him. But instead, she went upriver to the waterfall. "This always relaxes me." She told herself.

*Roku removed his headband to wipe the tears that were falling from his eye for all his emotions where hitting at once*

Kusa sat down at the edge of the rivers waterfall. Soon after, she started to sing her families song.

"our love that show's in the water here,
the wonderful life that we share.
someday we will, meet again so soon.
but i think that we will not.

the pride of our love burns so hot,
and will warm all of us inside.
someday we will find peace of mind.
and we shall love again.

we love the ones that we hold so dear,

Soon after, Kusa began to fall asleep, but was awake enough to walk back to camp, and fall asleep next to her wolf.
